The city of smiles and lights rests on 400 years of history. It has so much to offer with heritage monuments, the world’s largest film studio, historic mosques, lakes gardens and much more. Major attractions include:

Ramoji Film City:

The world’s largest film studio ever and is a universe in and of itself. You will have to book a hotel and stay there to tour the entire expanse of this make-believe world. Some of the grandest films in India were created here.

Golconda Fort:

An outstanding example of brilliant engineering and magical architecture. Located at a distance of 11km from the city, it is the most famous of all sightseeing places here. Founded in the approximately 12th century by the Kakatiya Kings, this massive fort has eight mammoth gates and 87 bastions.

The Charminar:

Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah, the founder of Hyderabad, built Charminar in 1591 at the centre of the original city layout. It is said to be built as a charm to ward off a deadly epidemic raging at that time. Four graceful minarets soar to a height of 48.7 m above the ground.

Mecca Masjid:

It’s so named because the bricks were brought from Mecca to build the central arch. The Qutb Shahis never finished the building of the mosque, which was completed by Mughal King Aurangzeb in 1694.
