Jazeera Airways Advances Commitment to Strengthen Kuwait-UAE Connectivity

Meeting with UAE Ambassador to Kuwait highlights Jazeera Airways’ growing UAE network, increased frequencies and commitment to supporting economic ties

Jazeera Airways today welcomed H.E. Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Kuwait, to its headquarters for discussions focused on UAE’s strong relationship with Kuwait and the important role that direct air connectivity plays in supporting tourism, business, trade and people-to-people ties between the two countries. 

Over the past year, Jazeera Airways has significantly expanded its presence in the UAE, tripling its network from one to three destinations with services connecting Kuwait to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The airline has also continued to increase frequencies in response to growing passenger demand, strengthening travel options between Kuwait and key cities across the UAE.

Jazeera Airways currently operates 37 weekly flights between Kuwait and the UAE, including 23 weekly flights to Dubai, 11 to Abu Dhabi and three to Al Ain, providing passengers with greater choice and flexibility for both business and leisure travel.

Since commencing its current services to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Jazeera Airways has carried more than 60,000 passengers on the two routes, demonstrating growing demand for direct connectivity beyond Dubai and the potential for further development of the airline’s UAE network

The airline also maintained its commitment to serving the UAE market during the unprecedented regional disruption earlier this year. Following the closure of Kuwait International Airport on 28 February, Jazeera Airways launched Mission Barakah and continued operating through an alternative operational model via Saudi Arabia. This helped maintain vital connectivity for passengers during one of the most challenging periods for regional aviation.

Jazeera Airways has a longstanding relationship with the UAE market. The airline first launched direct services between Kuwait and Dubai in October 2005 and has continued to invest in its UAE network to develop short-haul connectivity across the GCC and provide affordable, convenient travel options from Kuwait to key regional destinations.
