Due to the temporary closure of Kuwait International Airport for safety reasons, Jazeera Airways has moved its operations to Qaisumah Airport (AQI) in Hafar Al Batin, Saudi Arabia. This allows us to assist stranded travellers returning to Kuwait and facilitate outbound travel for others, while prioritizing the safe movement of all passengers.

2. Where is Qaisumah Airport (AQI) located?
Qaisumah Airport (Airport Code: AQI) is located near Hafar Al Batin in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is approximately a 1.5-hour overland journey from Kuwait.

3. How does travel to/from Kuwait work with flights from AQI?
Travel involves a combined air and land journey:

• Arriving in Kuwait: You will fly into AQI and then travel overland (approximately 1.5 hours) to the Kuwait border and onwards into Kuwait.
• Departing from Kuwait: You will first travel overland from Kuwait to AQI and then board your Jazeera Airways flight to your destination

4. Do I need a Saudi Arabian visa to travel via AQI?
All passengers travelling through Qaisumah Airport (AQI) must hold a valid visa for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Please ensure your visa is valid before beginning your journey, as you will be entering Saudi Arabia to board your flight or transit back to Kuwait.
Please note the following visa requirement:
Kuwait to Qaisumah Airport

• Passengers holding valid Kuwait residency will be given a transit visa at the border.
• Passengers on a Kuwait visit visa must hold a valid Saudi Arabia visa before travel

5. How do I get between Kuwait and Qaisumah Airport (AQI)?
Passengers must use the dedicated bus transfer service provided by Jazeera Airways between Jazeera Park & Fly in Kuwait and Qaisumah Airport (AQI). Please note that self-drive or private vehicle arrangements are not permitted, and the bus service is the only approved mode of transport for this journey.

6. Where should I report for departure from Kuwait?
Passengers must report to Jazeera Park & Fly in Kuwait only after receiving travel confirmation from Jazeera Airways.

7. My original booking shows Kuwait (KWI) as my departure or arrival point. Is my ticket still valid?
Please review your booking details online or with your travel agent to ensure you have the latest updates.

8. Will my flight number or schedule change?
Yes, both your flight number and schedules may be subject to change. We encourage you to review your booking details online or with your travel agent to confirm all details.

9. What should I do if I want to change my existing Jazeera Airways ticket to travel via AQI?
If you already have a booking for travel via Qaisumah Airport (AQI), you may make changes through Manage Booking on the Jazeera Airways website.
If you currently hold a Jazeera Airways ticket to another destination, you may cancel your booking in accordance with our existing policy. During the airspace closure, once you receive a cancellation notification from Jazeera Airways, you will be able to cancel your booking free of charge.
After cancelling your ticket, you may proceed to make a new booking for travel via AQI, subject to availability.

10. Will Jazeera Airways provide or arrange the overland transport?
Jazeera Airways has collaborated with bus operators to provide overland transport between Kuwait and AQI. Passengers will need to book this transfer when purchasing their flight ticket from or to AQI.

11. Does this change affect my baggage allowance or check-in rules?
No. Jazeera Airways’ standard check-in timelines and baggage policies remain the same. You are entitled to your cabin and checked baggage allowance as per your original fare type. Additional services may also be purchased through Manage Booking.

12. I have a connecting flight from another airport in Saudi Arabia. What should I do?
If you have onward travel from another airport in Saudi Arabia (such as DMM or RUH), please note that you will arrive at or depart from AQI. You will need to arrange your own ground transportation and allow sufficient time for transfers between airports. Jazeera Airways is not responsible for these connections.

13. How can I confirm which airport my flight uses and get the latest updates?
You can confirm your departure or arrival airport and receive the latest updates by checking:

• Your e-ticket or itinerary via Manage Booking on our website
• Official announcements on jazeeraairways.com or the Jazeera Airways mobile app
• Our official social media channels for real-time updates.

14. What documents do I need to carry when travelling between Kuwait and AQI?
Passengers must carry:

• Valid passport
• Saudi visa
• Boarding pass
• Any destination visas required for the final destination

15. How will I return to Kuwait after landing in AQI?
Passengers arriving on Jazeera Airways flights to AQI will:

• Complete immigration procedures at Qaisumah Airport
• Board a Jazeera Airways bus transfer to Kuwait
• Complete Kuwait border formalities
• Continue to Jazeera Park & Fly in Kuwait
• Collect any checked baggage at Park & Fly before exiting
