Under the slogan “The Journey Continues... Wings Carrying a Nation,” Jazeera Airways announced the signing of a new three-year strategic sponsorship agreement with Qadsia Sporting Club, continuing its role as a main sponsor and the official airline partner of Al-Malaki (The Royal).
The agreement holds special significance as the first of its kind in Qadsia Sporting Club’s history, with a three year sponsorship agreement with a single partner. It reflects the mutual trust between the two organizations and takes the relationship beyond seasonal sponsorship into a long-term national partnership built on a shared vision to support Kuwaiti sport, youth and the Club’s fans.
The partnership agreement was signed today at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre – Conference Centre, during a press conference attended by officials from Jazeera Airways and Qadsia Sporting Club, as well as the coach and players of the Club’s first team.
Jazeera’s sponsorship of Qadsia is rooted in the airline’s belief in its national and social responsibility, and in the important role sport plays in bringing Kuwaitis together and strengthening a sense of belonging and community, particularly among young people. It also reflects Jazeera’s commitment to supporting sporting institutions that represent Kuwait and raise the country’s profile at local and international levels.
The three-year commitment reflects a vision that goes beyond short-term support, contributing to a more stable sporting environment and giving the Club greater scope to plan ahead, develop initiatives and strengthen engagement with its fans. At the same time, it highlights the important role Kuwait’s private sector can play in supporting clubs and contributing to the development of the national sporting landscape.
The partnership slogan, “The Journey Continues... Wings Carrying a Nation,” embodies the coming together of two prominent Kuwaiti brands: Jazeera Airways, which carries Kuwait’s name to destinations around the world, and Qadsia Sporting Club, with its distinguished sporting history and national legacy built by generations of champions and supporters.
The choice of Qadsia is a natural extension of this commitment, reflecting the Club’s national significance, historic standing and broad fan base, as well as the achievements, championships and memorable moments that have made it an enduring part of Kuwait’s sporting heritage. Through this partnership, Jazeera accompanies Al-Malaki on a new journey defined by sustainability, ambition and the pursuit of further titles and achievements.
By continuing as a main sponsor and official airline partner of Qadsia, Jazeera Airways reinforces its belief that supporting Kuwaiti sport is an integral part of its commitment to the community, and that its partnership with Al-Malaki represents an investment in a national institution that carries the legacy of Kuwaiti sport and the ambitions of future generations.
Commenting on the partnership, Qadsia Sporting Club Board Member Mohammed Redha Maarafi expressed his pride in the agreement, saying the partnership strengthens the concept of sustainability within the sports sector.
Maarafi thanked Qadsia’s marketing team for its efforts and the cumulative work undertaken over several years, noting that the results are increasingly evident across the Club. He also highlighted Qadsia’s growing partnerships across different sectors, particularly with the private sector, which plays an important role in supporting many of Kuwait’s institutions.
Maarafi said: “Today, these partnerships and the confidence of the private sector are becoming stronger. At Qadsia, we consider ourselves at the forefront of sports marketing in Kuwait, and we hope this progress will also be reflected across other sporting institutions in the country.”
He continued: “The result of this work and cooperation between Qadsia and the private sector is evident today in the continuation of our partnership with Jazeera Airways and its extension for another three years. This is something we are extremely proud of and reflects the confidence that a major company and one of Kuwait and the region’s leading airlines has placed in Qadsia, following our successful first year together.”
Highlighting the Club’s ambitions and determination to return to the podium, Maarafi added: “As we have said before, our work will continue to progress. God willing, we will achieve the ambitions we share with our fans in a manner worthy of Qadsia Sporting Club and of a company such as Jazeera Airways.”
Maarafi stressed that the partnership reinforces sustainability within the sports sector, adding: “The next three years give us greater opportunity and scope to build for the future. We promise everyone, particularly Qadsia’s fans, that the Club will continue to progress, not only in sporting performance but also at an institutional level.”
He concluded by thanking Jazeera Airways for the confidence it has demonstrated through the extension, adding: “God willing, we will continue flying with Jazeera Airways towards even greater heights.”
Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer, Barathan Pasupathi said the continued support of Qadsia reflects the airline’s commitment to Kuwait and its rich sporting heritage.
Pasupathi said: “Today is truly a milestone moment as Jazeera Airways proudly renews its partnership with the Qadsia Football Club for another three years. This marks a new chapter in a unique partnership between a Kuwaiti airline and one of Kuwait’s oldest and most celebrated football clubs.”
He added: “Qadsia represents a legacy built on determination, resilience, teamwork and the relentless pursuit of excellence. These are values that strongly resonate with us at Jazeera Airways.”
He continued: “As two strong Kuwaiti brands, we are united by ambition, our connection to the community and our commitment to representing Kuwait with pride. Just as our aircraft carry the Kuwaiti flag around the world, we will be the national wings carrying Qadsia’s ambitions, standing alongside the Club through its competitions, journeys and moments of triumph.”
Pasupathi concluded: “As we say... Qadsia Watan, Jazeera Watan.”
Jazeera Airways Chief Executive – Government Affairs Naser Alobaid said the partnership brings together two Kuwaiti institutions that share common values and a competitive spirit.
Alobaid said: “Today is a special moment for Jazeera Airways. Exactly one year ago, on 9 September 2025, we gathered here to sign our partnership and sponsorship agreement with Qadsia Sporting Club. One year later, having demonstrated the success of this partnership for both organizations, we are back.”
He added: “Last year, we began this journey with Qadsia as a main sponsor and official airline partner. Today, we are taking the relationship further through a three-year commitment, standing alongside one of Kuwait’s oldest and most distinguished sporting institutions.”
He continued: “We are proud once again that Jazeera Airways is the first company to sign a three-year sponsorship agreement with Qadsia Sporting Club. The relationship between Qadsia and Jazeera goes beyond sponsorship. It connects two Kuwaiti institutions that share common values, a fighting spirit and a strong Kuwaiti identity.”
Alobaid noted that supporting youth and sport is part of Jazeera Airways’ identity, citing the Ertiqaa program, launched the previous week in collaboration with universities in Kuwait to attract outstanding graduates and develop the company’s future leaders.
He added that extending a successful partnership requires both parties to align around common objectives. “Thankfully, Jazeera and Qadsia share that alignment, which has enabled us to extend our partnership for the next three years.”
Alobaid concluded: “Our presence here today reaffirms our belief in Qadsia Sporting Club. Our message is clear: The Journey Continues... Wings Carrying a Nation.”
Jazeera Airways: A “Fighting Spirit” That Refused to Give In
Alobaid attributed Jazeera Airways’ resilience and its ability to continue flying despite geopolitical challenges to the “fighting spirit” that defines the airline.
He said: “When we speak about fighting spirit, we cannot overlook the extraordinary challenges faced by the aviation sector as a result of geopolitical circumstances, which led to airports being closed for 57 days.”
“Despite this, Jazeera Airways did not give up. We continued flying and connecting Kuwait with the outside world through Mission Barakah, operating through airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and transporting more than 200,000 passengers.”
He added: “This is the spirit we share. It is what brings Qadsia and Jazeera together.”
During the press conference, Alobaid was asked about the benefits Jazeera provides to Qadsia beyond financial support. He explained that the partnership extends considerably further.
“For us as an airline, our involvement includes logistical and media support in addition to financial support. We are extremely pleased with our partnership with Qadsia and proud to be associated with a club of such history and with such a strong supporter base.”
He added: “In the coming period, we plan to work with the fans association on special arrangements that will provide Qadsia members and supporters with exclusive benefits through Jazeera Airways.”
