Your guide to in-cabin pet travel with simple tips, rules, and must-haves
We know your pets are more than just animals—they're family. That’s why at Jazeera Airways, we’re happy to welcome your pets onboard with you. Whether it’s your loyal puppy, your graceful cat, or even your majestic falcon, we’re here to make sure your pet travels safely and comfortably.
Flying with pets in cabin
Here are the details on traveling with animals in the passenger cabin:
Falcons
Yep, you read that right! Falcons are welcome as long as they’re accompanied by a trained handler or keeper.
Seeing Eye Dogs
If you’re a passenger who is blind or deaf, your guide dog is welcome to fly by your side. We’re here to ensure that traveling with your dog is comfortable.
Cats and Dogs
Your paw-some companions—cats and dogs are allowed in flight. Just make sure they’re with you throughout the flight.
Flying with falcons?
We've got you covered.
If you're planning to travel with your falcon, we totally get it and assure you that we are experts in transporting pet birds too.
Before you board, make sure your falcon has:
A valid health certificate.
An entry permit (often called a falcon passport) These documents are essential for the countries you are flying to or through.
Just a heads-up: Falcons travel in the cabin at the owner's risk, so it's important to follow all guidelines closely.
Cabin rules for falcons
- Your falcon must be hooded throughout the flight to keep it calm and comfortable.
- If you haven’t booked extra seats, you can travel with one falcon only.
- Booked extra seats for falcons? Great! You can bring up to 5 falcons—that’s 1 on the handler’s arm and 2 per empty seat.
- Traveling with a group of falcons? We allow up to 25 falcons with 5 handlers in the cabin
Baby falcons in cages
Got baby falcons? No problem, they’re welcome too!
They must be in a closed cage that fits entirely on the seat (dimensions: 48cm x 58cm x 70cm).
The little ones should fit completely inside the cage, including the head and tail, throughout the flight.
You can carry up to 2 cages per handler.
No limit on the number of baby falcons, as long as they’re safely caged.

Seeing eye dogs: Your companion, our priority
If you're traveling with a seeing eye dog, we’re here to make sure both you and your loyal companion feel safe and supported throughout your journey.
Before you board, make sure your guide dog has:
Your service dog is welcome to fly free of charge, no matter their size or weight.
Just bring along a moisture-absorbent mat, some food, and a water container to keep your dog comfortable during the flight. The mat should be placed on the floor near your seat.
Your dog should be harnessed or securely restrained to you or your seat frame at all times
For safety reasons, your dog won’t be allowed to roam the cabin, especially during takeoff, landing, or taxiing.
Your furry friend will need to lie on the cabin floor beside you, not on a passenger seat.
If your dog becomes a safety concern or can’t be brought under control, we may need to reconsider cabin travel, but we’ll always do our best to support you.

Traveling with dogs and cats
Planning to bring your pet along for the ride? We love that! Here’s everything you need to know to make sure your cat or dog travels safely and comfortably with you.
Booking basics for pet travel
Make sure to book and confirm your pet’s travel at least 24 hours before departure.
You’ll need to carry valid health certificates, entry permits, and any other documents required by the countries you're flying to or through.
The name on your pet’s health certificate should match the name on your ticket, this helps us confirm ownership.
Cabin rules and limitations while transporting pets
Only one transport container per passenger is allowed.
We allow a maximum of 2 animals per flight—either pets or service dogs.
The total weight of the container (including your pet) must not exceed 8 kg.
Pets must be at least 12 weeks old to fly, and pregnant animals aren’t permitted.
The container must fit under the seat in front of you (max size: 55 x 40 x 23 cm). If not, it must be secured to your seatbelt while staying in the container.
Want your pet on the seat next to you? You can book an extra seat (charges apply) where the container can be up to 48 x 58 x 70 cm.
Your pet must be able to stand, lie down, and turn naturally inside the closed container.
The container must be escape-proof, leak-proof, and bite-proof, lined with absorbent material (We recommend a blanket or old clothing. No newspaper or straw, please).
Only one animal per container is allowed unless they’re from the same species and used to being together.
Special exceptions for pets in flight
You can carry two pets in the same container if:
They’re young animals (12+ weeks) of similar size.
Two adult animals of similar size.
A mother and her dependent baby (0–6 weeks).
As long as they’re comfortable together and the total weight (including the container) stays under 8 kg, they’re good to fly!
