Manager - Revenue Optimization
Manager - Revenue Optimization to maximize passenger revenue and optimize the airline’s network profitability by implementing effective revenue management strategies across fare products, inventory control,and demand forecasting. The Manager – Revenue Optimization will drive initiatives aligned with the airline’s LCC model while ensuring high seat factor and yield performance through data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- 1. Revenue Optimization
- Manage revenue performance across assigned routes with a focus on maximizing RASK.
- Monitor booking curves, load factors, and competitor actions to make real-time adjustments.
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, and events.
- 2. Inventory Control
- Set and adjust inventory restrictions and booking class availability (via O&D or leg-based control).
- Ensure correct fare-bucket protection to balance load factor and yield.
- Collaborate with the team to align filed fares with inventory strategy.
- 3. Forecasting & Analysis
- Deliver accurate demand forecasts and forward-looking booking trends on weekly basis.
- Monitor KPIs including net fare, seat factor, revenue per flight, and forecast accuracy.
- Conduct post-departure analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
- 4. System Management & Tools
- Utilize Revenue Management Systems (AirRM, Kambr) for decision support.
- Work closely with system vendors to enhance tool performance and troubleshoot issues.
- 5. Strategic Initiatives
- Support the introduction of new routes and capacity changes with revenue simulations and forecasts.
- Lead fare class reconfiguration and branded fare implementation initiatives.
- Evaluate and propose enhancements to revenue processes based on data insights.
- 6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with Network Planning, Sales, Marketing and Finance to align revenue goals.
- Support promotional campaigns with data-backed tactical pricing suggestions.
- Provide executive summaries and insights to senior leadership on revenue performance and risks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business. Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
- 10–12 years in airline revenue management or pricing & fare-filing, preferably in an LCC.
- Strong understanding of fare structures, distribution, and airline economics.
- Proficiency in Revenue Management Systems preferably in Kambr.
- Advanced MS Excel; knowledge of SQL/Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with pricing strategies in LCC/hybrid environments.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
