Security Officer
Jazeera Airways is seeking a Security Officer responsible for managing all processes related to Airport Permits, Access Cards, Staff IDs, and operational access requirements at Jazeera Airways' Head Office and Terminal. This role ensures that all permit and access-related activities are executed in compliance with government regulations and internal security policies while safeguarding sensitive data, documents, and company assets.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the issuance, collection, and disposal of all types of Airport Permits/Passes (Person and Vehicle), Staff IDs, and Access Cards for J9 and T5 operational requirements.
- Oversee the operations at Jazeera Airways Permit Office “JAPO”, ensuring effective handling of staff IDs and Visitor/Temporary HQ Access Cards.
- Safeguard all personal data, access cards, and official records/documents pertaining to JAPO operations against misuse or malpractice.
- Ensure strict compliance with Airport Security Program and Airport Circular standards for the handling of Airport Permits/Passes.
- Coordinate with government authorities, DGCA, and internal Jazeera departments on all permit-related matters and escalate issues when necessary.
- Manage departmental administrative tasks assigned by the Head of Security or Supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with company dress code, display ID at all times, and adhere to work schedules as per roster.
- Handle company and service provider vehicle permits effectively and within specified timelines.
- Ensure the timely application and renewal of Annual and Temporary Airport Permits for approved personnel and vehicles.
- Handle Airside vehicle access Permits/Passes for operational needs as instructed.
- Assist with administrative tasks and duties as assigned by the Head of Security or Supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Holder of a Diploma in a relevant field; or High School with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in airport security, police, government departments, aviation operations, or airport permit sections is an advantage.
- First Aid, Fire Fighting, or Airport Contingency experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- AVSEC audit/inspection competency or certification is an added advantage.
- Strong administrative, coordination, and attention to detail skills.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
