Planning Engineer
Jazeera Airways is looking for Planning Engineers to be based out of Kuwait who would be responsible for forecasting and scheduling of Maintenance Tasks and evaluation of accomplished maintenance records per applicable standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plans and schedules all maintenance tasks, ensuring all necessary resources are available.
- Forecasts and develops work packages for maintenance checks and other major maintenance activities in alignment with the Company’s maintenance program.
- Monitors compliance with aircraft phase-in/phase-out procedures and heavy checks, coordinating with the appropriate offices to meet project requirements.
- Coordinates with Line Maintenance or outsourced MRO to ensure adherence to scheduled maintenance.
- Monitors the compliance of the Maintenance Provider in planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling workload during scheduled checks.
- Enforces the full scope of the contract between Jazeera Airways and the service provider to optimize maintenance costs without compromising aircraft safety.
- Oversees and controls the monitoring of all maintenance work assigned to the production line to ensure plans and schedules are met.
- Represents Jazeera Airways as a Project/Technical Representative when assigned to Base Maintenance, aircraft acquisition, and redelivery.
- Executes all assigned tasks efficiently and cost-effectively to maximize the utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
- Responsible for onsite aircraft monitoring during heavy maintenance checks, closely coordinating with the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) to ensure smooth base maintenance operations and on-time turnaround of scheduled checks.
- Submits daily work progress reports covering aircraft activities aligned with the Gantt chart.
- Maintains an updated work status to enable a rapid response to queries from other departments.
- Enforces the full scope of the contract between Jazeera Airways and the AMO to optimize maintenance costs without compromising aircraft safety.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years aviation experience in related field
- Knowledge of EASA Part M, EASA Part 145 and KUWAIT DGCA regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge, in respect to aircraft regulations and standards applicable to Jazeera fleet.
- Ability to read and demonstrate knowledge from technical publications.
- Knowledge in Airline application -based ERP system.
- Strong decision-making abilities, and effective problem solving and negotiations skills.
